From the Pamir Heights to the Amu Darya Lower Reaches

The film is about the impact of the Amu Darya runoff on biodiversity. The expedition, whose task is to record various aspects of this influence on flora and fauna, begins in Tajikistan. Experts observe the Kafirnigan and Vakhsh rivers on their way to the Tigrovaya Balka– Nature Reserve. The next stage is the middle and lower reaches of the Amu Darya in Uzbekistan. The final stage of the expedition is from Nukus to the Mezhdurechensk reservoir, where the Amu Darya River ends its course.
