EDVARD MUNCH’S OSLO: MAP OF AN ARTIST
Join our guided video tour where we take you to some of the places Edvard Munch and his family used to live. We will give you a small glimpse of Munch’s Oslo and show you where you can visit him yourself. Edvard Munch lived in Oslo until the age of 17. Oslo was called Kristiania back then – and the city was growing. Here, Munch spent his formative years and grew alongside his siblings. At the age of 17, the young man decided to become a painter. Munch’s journey as an artist was long and arduous until his death at the age of 80. To understand his journey as an artist and his passion for art, we must travel back in time to his childhood in Oslo.
