Ezekiel Jackson was the final ECW champion and a former IC champion which he captured from Wade Barrett during the god awful Corre faction storyline. Zeek was injured but managed for find his way into Lucha Underground debuting on the very first episode. I think they wanted him as a main eventer and to be recognisable face for the launch of their show. He didn’t last long and had a massive 11 matches, plodding, limping and limping around the ring with his boring offence. He was an incredibly strange fit in Lucha Underground where 99% of the wrestlers were high flying luchadores.
