Has The Angling Trust Failed Sea Anglers Over Pollack?

Pollack fishing UK is facing another controversial moment, with commercial quota now at 1 tonne while recreational anglers face a 3 fish bag limit. In this weekly round-up, I give my honest thoughts on the latest Pollack situation, the Angling Trust, commercial quota increases and whether recreational sea anglers are being properly represented. I fully understand that Pollack stocks need protecting, and I am not against sensible conservation. But when anglers are being asked to accept tight bag limits while commercial allowances increase again, it raises a fair question. Who is actually standing up for sea anglers? This is not about attacking commercial fishermen personally. It is about fairness, representation and making sure recreational sea fishing has a proper voice when these decisions are made. I’d genuinely like to know what you think. Are the 3 fish bag limits fair? Has the Angling Trust done enough? And are recreational anglers being treated as the easy target?
