On this trip, I rode a Suzuki V-Strom 250 SX from Maumere to the Flores KM 0 Monument in Larantuka. The route passed through the foothills of Mount Lewotobi, which erupted just a week ago and is still at level IV. The journey was filled with dramatic scenery typical of the Trans Flores route, with a brief stop at the Eputobi Rest Area, and ended with an exploration of Larantuka, the easternmost town on Flores Island.
