Milch- und Eipulver: Eine Empfehlung.
I was fortunately made aware of a great online shop for "baking supplies." A recommendation I'd like to share. Perhaps it will help someone. Here's the corresponding comment: Kaudawelsch100 Perhaps I can give you a tip regarding milk for your tea, or as milk for muesli, cocoa, coffee, or as an alternative to the overpriced and totally disgusting (subjectively) tasting F100 block that Sacki also loves to use! It all started with my first trekking trip in Lapland about 15 years ago. Back then, I bought the equally overpriced and really not-so-tasty skimmed milk powder from Trekkingmahlzeiten in an aluminum bag, which APPARENTLY dissolves easily in cold water. Well, for three weeks, I ate dry muesli for breakfast and spooned powdered milk with it. That was fun! The stuff didn't dissolve in the mountain water even after 30 minutes of stirring, and floated dry on the water's surface even after submerging (a physical miracle). In my years of searching for a viable alternative, I only found rubbish in the trekking sector, and it was expensive too, BUT then I got the tip to look for suppliers to bakeries; they would buy milk powder, and not just stupid skimmed milk powder, but whole milk powder in 25 kg bags. After some searching, I found the best supplier for me, one that offers good quality (including organic) at fair prices. Small quantities, also vacuum-sealed for precisely this purpose (they're used to the requests by now). It tastes really better, costs less, and dissolves in glacier water (best shaken in a Nalgene wide-mouth bottle, perfect). Here's the link: https://www.backstars.de/milchpulver-co/ And now no more whining about milk.
