World War II, as well as a fire engine and helicopter made from construction kits: an Odessa schoolboy recreates various military-themed models. Semyon is now 14 years old, and has dedicated seven of those years to his hobby – model making. He proudly talks about his latest works and the nuances of modeling with clay. Semyon laments that not all the models can be preserved; for example, two military aircraft now only exist in photographs. However, he now uses special modeling clay. The finished product is varnished for durability. Semyon's mother explains that it all started with model cars, which were given to her son when he was four. Then he moved on to scale models from construction kits, and now the young man increasingly sculpts with clay. The source of his interest in model making remains a mystery to his mother. She says her son's incredible perseverance and thoughtfulness are combined with a sense of responsibility. He knows: first come lessons, then come passion. At School No. 77, where Semyon is currently in the 8th grade, his hobby is respected by both his classmates and teachers.
