Miners & The Mizpah | An Impressive Network of Abandoned Artifacts | World Famous Clown Motel
We'd like to invite you to join us on this outdoor adventure, that unfolds as we set out to explore a network of hidden and abandoned history -beneath, beside and also right in front of us - in plain sight. In this week's episode on @offroad801 on YouTube, I'll be highlighting our travel adventure to and through Tonopah, Nevada. A major outpost, and old mountain mining district full of different mining operations. Nicknamed the "Queen of The Silver Camps" for it's mining-rich history. We'll start off by showing you the abandoned air base bunkers before we take you for a stroll through downtown main street. An interesting yet charming little town that makes you feel like you're stepping back in time. And.. it's extremely haunted!! Then we shall visit the old Tonopah cemetery , which is located RIGHT NEXT DOOR to the World Famous Clown Motel ( which BTW ) adds to it's allure - and for some, it's creepiness 🫨One step on these historic grounds, tales of the old west come alive! But wait! .. it doesn't end there. Still searching for adventure, let's dive into the past and unseen secrets of The Mizpah Hotel. Which was ( at one time ) an oasis of comfort in the stark beauty of Nevada's high desert. One of the first luxury hotels, that was named after a MINE, and known as the "Jewel of the Desert". A historical treasure voted #1 haunted hotel by USA Today. Lastly, I'll take you all to explore the Historic Mining Park. The site of the discovery that started the second largest silver strike in Nevada's history. Although we didn't get in any off-roading this week, we still hope you enjoyed this trekking adventure through these historical landmarks, because I sure did. It surpassed any expectation I "might" have had.
