From Thangka to Modern Art: Rigzin Migyur’s Artistic Journey in Ladakh

རི་མོའི་སྒྱུ་རྩལ་བ་རིག་འཛིན་མི་འགྱུར་ལགས། རི་མོའི་སྒྱུ་རྩལ་བ་རིག་འཛིན་མི་འགྱུར་ལགས་ནི། ལ་དྭགས་བོད་ཁྱིམ་དུ་འཛིན་རིམ་བརྒྱད་པ་བར་སློབ་སྦྱོང་གནང་རྗེས། ཕྱི་ལོ་ ༢༠༠༧ ལོར་ལ་དྭགས་བོད་ཁྱིམ་བོད་ཀྱི་སྲོལ་རྒྱུན་ལྷ་བྲིས་སྡེ་ཚན་ནང་ལོ་གཉིས་རིང་སློབ་སྦྱོང་གནང་། ཕྱིས་སུ་པཱཏ་ལི་ཀུལ་བོད་ཁྱིམ་ལས་རིགས་སློབ་གཉེར་ཁང་དུ་ལོ་གསུམ་རིང་སློབ་གཉེར་གནང་སྟེ། དྷེ་ར་དྷུན་ནང་རྟན་གཞི་བྱས་པའི་ Chitrakutir College of Art ཞེས་པའི་སྒྱུ་རྩལ་མཐོ་སློབ་ཏུ་དེང་རབས་རིས་མོ་སྒྱུ་རྩལ་ལ་སློབ་སྦྱོང་གནང་ནས་ད་ལྟའི་ཆར་ལ་དྭགས་བོད་ཁྱིམ་འབྲིང་རིམ་སློབ་གྲྭར་རི་མོའི་དགེ་རྒན་གནང་བཞིན་ཡོད་པ་རེད། Rigzin Migyur, a Tibetan artist from Ladakh, is trained in both traditional thangka painting and modern art. After completing school up to the eighth grade at TCV Ladakh, he studied thangka painting at Ladakh Tibetan School and continued vocational training at TCV Patlikul School. He later pursued modern art at Chitrakutir College of Art in Dehradun. He now teaches art at TCV Ladakh.
