The Story of Prophet Musa and Harun Part 1 - The Story of Muslim Yufid TV In ancient times, the country of Egypt was ruled by an unjust and cruel king known as "Pharaoh," he enslaved his people and oppressed them, acted tyrannically on the earth, and made the population divided, by oppressing a group of them and employing them with forced labor. Indeed, Pharaoh was among those who did damage. These oppressed are the children of Israel; a people whose lineage reaches back to the Prophet Israel or Ya'qub 'alaihissalam. The Children of Israel occupied the land of Egypt when the Prophet Yusuf 'alaihissalam served as their minister. Once, Pharaoh had a dream that a fire came from Baitul Maqdis and burned down the land of Egypt apart from the houses of the Children of Israel. Upon waking, Pharaoh was immediately shocked. He gathered his fortune-tellers and magicians to interpret his dream. They told him that a child would be born among the Children of Israel who would cause the destruction of the Egyptian people. Frightened by this dream, Pharaoh ordered the slaughter of the male children of the Children of Israel, fearing the birth of such a child. [1] Days passed, months and years passed, and the native Egyptians saw that the number of the Children of Israel was dwindling due to the killing of young boys. They feared that if the adults died and their children were killed, there would be no one left to care for their land. So they went to Pharaoh and informed him of the problem. Pharaoh then reconsidered and ordered the killing of all males and the general abandonment of the children. Harun was born in a year when children were not killed, while Moses was born in the year when the murder occurred, so his mother was afraid that her child would be killed so she chose to put her child in a place far from the reach of the eyes of Pharaoh's soldiers who were always waiting for the children of the Children of Israel to be killed, so Allah inspired her to breastfeed him and put him in a coffin, then the coffin was placed in the river when Pharaoh's army came. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says, "And We inspired Moses' mother: "Suck him, and if you are worried about him, then throw him into the river (Nile). And do not worry and do not (nor) be sad, for indeed We will return him to you, and make him (one of) the messengers." (QS. Al Qashash: 7) So she prepared a small chest tied with ropes and breastfed her child, and when Pharaoh's soldiers came, she put him in the chest and put him in the Nile river. When Pharaoh's soldiers left, he pulled the chest back. Until one day, Prophet Musa's mother forgot to tie the chest with a rope, so the chest was carried away by the water and continued walking, while Musa's sister was ordered to pay attention and walk beside him while looking at where the chest stopped. The chest remained floating on the river, swaying to the right and left and being moved by the waves, until the chest was carried towards the Pharaoh's palace which was near the Nile. When Musa's sister saw the chest leading to Pharaoh's palace, she immediately told her mother to tell her about the matter so that Musa's mother's heart became empty, she almost stated the truth that Musa was her own son.
