When teachers look for courses to improve their teaching skills and abilities, they usually take the CELTA Course which stands for Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults or Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I’ve already made a couple of videos about it, I’ll leave the links in the description make sure you check them out. The CELTA course is indeed a great course because it comprises teaching observations and classroom-related written assignments. This is also the reason why the CELTA Course is difficult. It demands teachers to teach and reflect on their teaching. Centers are responsible for designing the CELTA course, therefore, the assignments. According to the syllabus, each assignment should be between 750 and 1,000 words, and you can use a variety of formats to write your assignment, having two written in academic prose. However, most centers ask that you write all your assignments using formal academic writing; therefore, don’t forget to check my video about semi-formal writing. Assignments may consist of a series of tasks. It is also possible for centers to conflate two assignments into one longer assignment with two discrete parts; in this case, the assignment is still assessed as two separate pieces of work, and each section of the assignment must be graded separately.
