Hello everyone! I am a 60-something RN, a "God Nurse" in the US. 😊 In my last video, I shared the news that I had submitted my resignation and switched to Per Diem. After working for four months in a nursing home where one nurse had to care for 30 patients, I decided to completely end my employment at my second nursing home after much deliberation. I didn't feel comfortable keeping my feet on the line at a place I wasn't going to work at permanently, so on my last day of full-time work, I sent a final email to DON and HR expressing my gratitude. On my last day, a CNA came to visit after hearing I was quitting and offered me an unexpected remark… "You are doing great. A CNA is your friend." That single remark, knowing that someone recognized the effort I had put in, felt like a huge gift to me as I left. And then, a grateful twist came right after I had let go of my expectations! After passing the first and second rounds of interviews at a home care agency, I received final acceptance notification that very day. 🎉 Thanks to your support, I was able to start receiving new training at Home Care in early August without any gaps.
