(July 2023) Camino Baztan Day 1: Bayonne to Espelette, 27km Lodging: Chambres d’hôtes Andy Le Sauce, 25 euros (includes breakfast) My first day on the Camino Baztan and it’s good to be back! This day’s stage was entirely in France; the food was excellent, my pack was heavy, my lodging was unique but mostly I was so happy to be walking again.
