Behold, your King is coming to you, righteous and victorious. The humble one rides on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. He will banish chariots from Ephraim and horses from Jerusalem; the war bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His dominion will extend from sea to sea, from the banks of the River to the ends of the earth." RESPONSORIC PSALM Ps 145 (144), 1b-2, 8-9, 10-11, 13-14 (R.: 1b) I will praise You, my God and King. Or: Alleluia I will praise You, my God and King, * and glorify Your name forever. All day long I will bless You * and praise Your name forever. SECOND READING Rom 8:9, 11-13 If you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Brothers: You do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Therefore, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die. Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
