Inside the Abandoned Steyning Grammar School (Untouched Since Closure)

🏫 Exploring the Abandoned Steyning Grammar School In this exploration, I visit the former Church Street campus of Steyning Grammar School, a historic Grade I listed school that first opened its doors in 1614. After more than 400 years of continuous education, the site officially closed in August 2021, marking the end of an incredible chapter in the town’s history. Walking through the abandoned classrooms, I found school books, artwork, and teaching materials still in place, making it feel as though time had stood still since the day the school closed. The atmosphere inside was both fascinating and eerie, offering a rare glimpse into a site that educated generations of students. Following its closure, Key Stage 3 students were relocated to the Towers site in Upper Beeding, while other operations continued from the Shooting Field campus. The 1.55-acre Church Street campus has since been sold to a private buyer. ⚠️ This video is for documentary and educational purposes only.
