However, we are not talking about genuine figures vs bootleg or counterfeit figures here. Both versions are genuine, so, what is the difference? In Asia - especially Malaysia and perhaps China, anime figures are often marketed as either Japan version or Distributor version - sometimes also called Asia version. Some people call the latter China version, which is inaccurate. And then there is the narrative where a Japan version anime figure is superior in quality control over distributor version.
