UTTER Devastation! Prospecting a Flood Zone in Vermont

Since last winter I’ve been digging a Brook that is a total mess. Today I’m going farther up it then I’ve gone before. Between the rock scrambling, downed trees, and deteriorated slopes, it was a lot worse than I had anticipated. Digging for gold on the back section of this Brook is a total toss of the dice. The gravels are so silted over and the down trees got so bad that it only made sense to hike all the way back to the bedrock area I’ve been working.
