The Sad Future of Physical Media
I miss the days of boxed games on PC. The box art, the manuals, the game disks in the jewel case. Sony has recently shown how fragile Digital media ownership actually is and with the announcement about them ending physical PlayStation discs by 2028, it doesn't look like the situation is going to get better any time soon. There is this growing trend of publishers removing access to content you paid for, such as the recent example of Sony pulling Studio Canal movies from digital libraries due to licensing disputes.
