P. トスティはイタリアの作曲家で、甘美で耳に残りやすいメロディに、時にはロマンチック、時にはドラマチック、さまざまな詩をのせた歌曲作品を数多く残しました。 『最後の歌』は、別れた恋人が結婚してしまう前日に、彼女への想いを悲しくも情熱的に歌った曲です。 歌詞の中には、バラの花びら、アマランサス、ミント、ザクロと様々な植物が出てきます。それぞれ美しい恋人とその思い出に例えられているのでしょうか。 特に繰り返し出てくるミント、たくさんの花言葉をもつ植物ですが、少し意外な気もする花言葉を選んでみました。 F. "L'ultima canzone" is a piece that expresses feelings for a parted lover saldly and passionately the day before of her marriage. In the lyrics, various plants such as rose petals, amaranth, mint, and pomegranate appear. They may be compared to the beautiful lover and her memories.
