Mikhail Tal's Richter-Rauzer WRECKS Radulov
Featured is a sharp chess game between Mikhail Tal and Ivan Radulov from the 1980 Olympiad. Tal opts for the Richter-Rauzer variation of the Sicilian Defense, trading his dark-squared bishop for a knight by move 12, aiming for swift pawn advances with his e4/f4 duo. After Tal's flashy 18th move, Radulov finds himself in an only move situation which he fails to find. The final position is aesthetically pleasing with all of Tal's pieces fully activated while Radulov's are basically setting up for a new game of Fischer Random. #MikhailTal I'm a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8.
