Dear friends, today we visited the tomb of Hasan Sezai and the Gülşeni Mosque, which stand out with the spiritual atmosphere of Edirne. Hasan Sezai was one of the greatest scholars of his time and is known for his many miracles on the path of knowledge and wisdom. The scent of roses in the tomb brought a sense of peaceful spirituality to us. The harmony of the wooden details and the dome within the mosque was truly stunning. The retreat rooms on the upper floor were a remarkable sight, a reflection of the Sufi culture that has survived from the Ottoman period to the present day. Furthermore, the lush greenery in the mosque courtyard invited us to contemplate. If you happen to be in Edirne, we wholeheartedly recommend visiting this great man and reciting the Fatiha. Hasan Sezai passed away in 1738 and was buried in the graveyard of the lodge named after him. This structure, a mosque and a tevhithane (unity of God) and a significant center of Ottoman Sufi culture, remains a spiritual pilgrimage site today.
