Let's close this gap and today we'll examine and analyze excerpts from an ancient book discovered by our colleague Natalia. The book is called "On the Layers of the Earth" and is a reprint of Lomonosov's work. It is considered the first book on geology. It was written in the mid-18th century. This book clearly describes what is underground when digging wells. Using this data, it is possible to determine how many disasters there were and their frequency. Let's read, and for clarity, we will draw these layers. Let's look at these layers in reverse order: A layer of coal, among which are found pieces of iron, boards, objects made of marble, and animal bones. That is, the very bottom layer tells us that during that period of time someone lived here, who left all this behind. (don't read the numbers in brackets) Then comes a layer of sand (12) with pebbles, then chalk (11) - this indicates that this was the bottom of the sea, that is, the sea level rose. Then rotten debris (10) mixed with pebbles and shells, that is, the sea retreated and this was the seashore. Then the chalk (9), that is, the sea level rose again. Then a layer of rotten garbage (8) Alternating chalk and rotten debris may indicate periodic tsunamis; the 2004 tsunami brought a large amount of debris from the shore. Then comes another layer of chalk (7), 65 meters thick. This indicates that this area was a seabed for a very long time. Then the sea retreated and soil (6) 61 cm thick formed on the shallows. Deciduous trees managed to grow on this land. From a depth of 8.53 meters begins the layer of the seabed in which the remains of marine animals are found (5), this layer is 3.35 meters thick. Next comes a layer of rich black soil (4), which was cultivated, meaning the sea has retreated again. At depths of 7.32–7.92 meters, remains of tools, whole sheaves, and nuts on bushes are found. Whole sheaves buried under a layer of earth indicate another catastrophe. Apparently, the sea retreated far and for a long time, accumulating black soil over a large area. Then, another catastrophe, a tsunami wave, washed the black soil away from vast areas and brought it to this location, burying the sheaves, tools, and nuts on the trees. Next comes a layer consisting of the remains of marsh vegetation, (3) therefore this area was marshy for some time. Then comes a layer of dense soil (2) which no one has plowed. And the topmost layer, 4.27 metres thick, contains traces of an old city that was repeatedly destroyed, the remains of whose buildings formed a thick layer of rubble. This information provides a wealth of food for thought. Do we know everything about our planet? What happened here before? What caused all these catastrophes? Who lived here before? We can observe three periods, separated by time, when economic activity took place in the same area, and the fourth period is when these wells were dug. To summarize, we know absolutely nothing about our past, and all the theories about cultural layers from official historians are just another load of rubbish. Let's read the next paragraph - about what is found under the swamps. This paragraph tells us that in the mid-18th century, when this book was written, local residents knew nothing about these wrecked ships buried under the swamps. Therefore, the disaster occurred many years ago. The disaster affected not only ships and animals, but also miners in the mines.
