I went fishing for whiting at Kehi's Matsubara Beach! It's supposed to rain this afternoon, and a typhoon is approaching... I decided to start night fishing before the rain hit. 🎣Tackle: Shore jigging rod with 2000mm reel Drop-in rig #7 line, #10 weight Bait: Gold worms Catch: 23 whiting, averaging 15cm 8 Japanese smelt Finger goby Blue grouper Stone crab Night fishing yielded a lot of Japanese smelt I started catching whiting around dawn. Casting from the surf and slowly reeling, I got a lot of bites at about 70 meters. Matsubara Beach is a beautiful beach with no trash. No snags, it was amazing!
