Conifers in the Pacific Northwest - NV Presentation Feb 15, 2024 by Elizabeth Price
The PNW is one of a limited number of regions in the world with a high diversity of native conifers. Elizabeth Price will discuss why our unique climate enables conifers to achieve such majesty and then take the audience on a tour of some of the most beautiful and interesting native and ornamental conifers for the PNW home garden. Elizabeth Price has been a certified Oregon State University Master Gardener since 2008 and has been leading workshops on conifers for other master gardeners and for the public for over a decade. This interest in conifers lead to her writing Native and Ornamental Conifers in the Pacific Northwest , which Oregon State University Press published this past June. Elizabeth also took all of the 1,000 photographs that appear in the book. She holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of Arizona and has worked as a professional writer, editor, and curriculum designer.
