Kathryn Russ - Mississippi - Bob Dylan / Arr Rab Noakes

Rab Noakes has been a big influence on my guitar playing—I only recently learned he passed sometime in 2022. I heard his work up of Mississippi even before I’d heard Dylan’s version, and found something magical in the timing & meter of his interpretation that to me the Dylan one misses; it’s always been a special favorite of mine. This is the first one of his arrangements I’ve recorded.
