Fully automatic 3D printed cigarette stuffing machine with Arduino / Construction/Technical Details

For more information check out my website: https://fraensengineering.com/ In this video I build a 3D printed fully automatic cigarette stuffing machine. The machine is controlled by an Arduino. The motors are driven by an AF Motorshield V1. I had to do a lot of testing to build a functional machine. A lot of power is needed to press the tobacco. I achieve this through a knee lever construction. An IGUS steep thread spindle is used to drive the press. I have tried some tests with a M6 threaded rod. However, this does not work very well. A threaded rod has a lot of frictional losses and cannot provide the required force. The machine would work better with stronger motors. However, you are limited to 600mA by the motorshield. Here you could use external motor drivers.
