Off the Beaten Path to West Lake
The turn off to West Lake starts down the Wedeene Mainline, which is off of HWY 37 towards Kitimat, from Terrace. The Onion Lake X Country Ski Trails main lodge is located at the entrance to the Wedeene Mainline. After going about 5 kms, you would then turn right down the Lakelse Mainline and go a further 3.5 kms till you see the sign marked for West Lake. Turning left here, you would progress another 2 "and a bit" kms till you see the next marked sign. The campsite has been greatly improved since the last time we were here. Pleasant surprise to say the least. I unfortunately lost a lot of footage due to bad audio on an older GoPro, but thems' the breaks! Please subscribe and, maybe, throw in a thumbs up for good measure? Got any ideas for a future drive? Throw them in the comments and, weather permitting, will try for sure! Cheers!
