Tandem Theatre Drama With Adults

Welcome to drama with adults! One of Tandem Theatre’s main focuses is delivering regular drama workshops with adults facing challenges whether that’s due to mental health problems, poverty, substance misuse, insecure housing, unemployment, SEN, low academic attainment or behavioural difficulties. We give space for people to feel welcome, be themselves, engage in our activities and take part to produce their own drama performances. See our interviews with those who benefitted from our programme and clips of them in action. Featured on this video are two projects: • 'Pathways' funded by WEA, GMCA (Greater Manchester Combined Authority) and the UK Government. This consisted of weekly drama workshops for unemployed adults enhancing and developing skills for employment such as confidence, wellbeing and communication skills. We worked in partnership with organisations across Salford including Salford Loaves and Fishes, The Shed (Salford Foundation), Arts Let Loose and Salford Youth Service, for NEET over 16s (Not in Education, Employment or Training). • Creative Living Centre (CLC) Drama Group. This was funded by the Acting on Impulse Legacy Fund for service users of CLC facing mental health problems. You can see from this video how beneficial the participants find the activities and that we hope to be able to continue them in the future!
