How to take CHUNKS off your Marathon Time

These are not new concepts or my concepts. The two suggested paths to improving running fitness mentioned in this video are suggestions. I have seen many runners get A LOT faster by applying one, two, or both of these methods. That does not guarantee anyone will get faster. We create the conditions and let the body tell us when it wants to adapt. By doing the types of running and periodization in this video, a runner will be doing just that. About me: I started running at the age of 40. I am now 46. My first half marathon time trial around my neighborhood was a 1:48, something like 3:45 marathon fitness. Last year I ran a 1:20:30 half and a 2:50:13 marathon. Shortly after the 2:50, my fitness took a leap doing the methods described in this video and now I am ball-parking 2:40 for the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon.
