The Memorial Reflecting Pool Surface is NOT Paint!

The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool will soon be drained to perform repairs to the interior surface lining. No information has yet been made public about the nature of the damaged areas or just how much of the surface will need repairs. In this video I talk about some of the materials and processes used for the memorial pool renovation - from the perspective of an aquatic specialist following this project with great interest from afar. Hopefully this additional information will help people to understand this is not a paint that was applied to the pool. It is a multi-layered engineered surface with a vast array of technical installation requirements.
