I tried Japan's LAST surviving sleeper train before it's gone forever.

Today - another bucket list train! I’m stepping on board Japan’s last surviving overnight sleeper train, the Sunrise Express, for a classy, 1,000 km journey from the quiet city of Izumo to the morning rush of Tokyo. This trip is the ultimate antidote to the high-speed Shinkansen. It’s a nostalgic, cramped, 90s-era experience on a classic narrow-gauge railway In this video, I’ll show you what it’s actually like on board, from the mad dash to secure a 6-minute shower card to squeezing my 173 cm frame into a cozy upper-deck B-Class Single room. I’ll also give you a tour of the other accommodation, including the carpeted Nobi Nobi spaces and the elusive A-Class deluxe sleepers, before settling in for a late-night 7-Eleven feast in the communal lounge. For about £105 (JPY 23,210), it’s a brilliant, peaceful way to travel across Japan and watch the sunrise over Tokyo right from your bed (if you're lucky enough to have the weather for it...say no more!).
