María Tornero, una joven empresaria eldense dedicada a su ganado de cabras

María Tornero is a businesswoman from Elda (Alicante), one of the few young people in the province who raises goats, a job that is disappearing with each passing year. She came to this work by chance, as the tragic death of her grandfather Julián in a tractor accident in 2004, just days before her First Communion, meant that she and her father took over the four goats he owned. Now, at 27, María and her father Julián have 400 head of goats. “There are no holidays here; this is my life from Monday to Sunday. I have to come in morning and afternoon. I arrive early, and we milk the goats, take care of the kids, give them water and food, and milk them again. The milkman comes every two days. In the afternoons, my father takes care of the goats, and I look after the kids,” explains the young goat farmer. More information: https://www.valledeelda.com/noticias/...
