GoldenEye Is Eclipsed By Perfect Dark: The Quintessence Of Innovation
GoldenEye 007 for the Nintendo 64 took the world by storm in 1997 and remains to this day as an icon that revolutionized first-person shooters. While it deserves all the recognition it gets, far too many seem to forget about the game's spiritual successor from the same Rareware development team: Perfect Dark. Released in 2000, the game was built using the same GoldenEye engine, but was enhanced dramatically, pushing the N64 to its limit. With no movie script to follow, Rare let their creativity flow and ended up exceeding GoldenEye in every way. This video highlights all of the biggest features and innovations of Perfect Dark in an effort to remind the world of one of the greatest names in all of the FPS genre. 0:00 Intro 1:21 Single Player 4:04 Weapons 11:29 Multiplayer 15:35 Simulants 20:00 Outro Support me on Patreon: / goodolddaysgaming All My Playlists: / @goodolddaysgaming
