How and Why to use Dynamic Parameters - Tableau in Two Minutes
Dynamic parameters are a new feature introduced in 2020.1 that allow you to have your parameters change whenever new items appear in your data. In this item, we show you how to highlight part of a bar chart based on a string list parameter, and we show you how to set up a date parameter that will default to the latest date whenever the workbook is opened, and will automatically move to the newest date even when new data is added in the background. These new options for changing parameters based on your data allow you to do more with your viz's and create more layers of interactivity, without having to worry about manually updating your parameters every time the workbook changes! You can download the data here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/17t0q...
