EXPLORING NAARDEN: A Solo Bike Tour on a Rainy July Afternoon

In this ride-along video, I visit Naarden, a historic Dutch fortress city, for the first time. Apparently, I had distant relatives living here in the 1600s, so I was curious and excited to explore a bit. Unfortunately, it was quite a dreary, wet Sunday afternoon, so there weren't very many people out and about, and the Dutch Fortress museum was not open. In this video, you'll experience my ride from the train station to the historic city center and back again, so you'll get a good feel for what it's like to do a normal bike commute there. There was a mix of cycling infrastructure, including protected bike lanes and separated cycle paths, painted bike lanes, and plenty of quiet, low-volume, low-speed shared streets. #streetsareforpeople #bicycleinfrastructure #allagesandabilities #dutchcycling #dutchhistory Thank you so much for watching!
