Known in English as Game Based Learning (GBL), this methodology is increasingly used in classrooms to develop skills such as respect for others, the ability to cope with defeat, strategic thinking, and much more. It's no coincidence that international studies show that game-based learning generates better results in the classroom. In this talk, professor and game designer Hanna Guimarães discusses the importance of games in learning and recounts how she created a game that changed the lives of students in a difficult context: a penitentiary. Understand how the game elements engaged the students (gamification in education) and how game designers are increasingly involved in learning processes. Hanna Guimarães is an entrepreneur, game designer, physical education teacher, and master's student in Administration.
