The game stands out primarily for its visual style. High-quality pixel art and animation embody many folkloric and religious elements of Spanish culture. Almost the entire game is inspired either by works of art or real historical events and figures. The gameplay is standard for the genre—lots of enemies, platforming, and abilities that open new paths through locations. The plot is also rather straightforward.
