Every Mistake That Ruins Your Prayer

Every Mistake That Ruins Your Prayer Wudu is not optional. Every major school of Islamic jurisprudence agrees on this without exception — prayer performed without ritual ablution is simply invalid, full stop. The Prophet ﷺ said, according to a hadith recorded in Bukhari and Muslim, that Allah does not accept the prayer of anyone who has broken his wudu until he performs it again. And breaking wudu is easier than most people think. Passing gas, using the bathroom, falling into deep sleep, and in some schools of thought, bleeding or touching the opposite gender — all of these reset the clock entirely. The tricky part is that wudu can break silently, in the middle of prayer, and many people carry on without realizing. Skipping even one step of the ablution itself — failing to wipe the head, or rushing through one arm — can void the whole thing before prayer even begins.
