What Are The Best Lenses To Take On Your Safari Trip?
If you're thinking about going on safari then there's a quite a lot you'll need to consider when deciding on what camera gear to take with you. In this video I'd like to try and help you decide which lenses to buy for your safari trip. Just to give you an idea of my experiences, I've been to the Serengeti and Masai Mara, Nogorongoro Crater, Nyerere, Kruger Park, Etosha, Chobe, Okavango, Amboseli, South Luangwa, Tsavo East and West, Yala National Park in Sri Lanka and I've even taken a huge 400mm prime lens gorilla trekking in Rwanda. There's so many different formats such as Micro four thirds, APSC and full frame and even compact and bridge cameras are perfectly good enough for some situations. Even your phone camera will take decent enough photos. But if your safari trip is a once in a lifetime vacation then you may want to take those photo opportunities more seriously and invest in good quality camera equipment. #safari #safarigear #safarilens #safaritrip #safariphotography 01:18.Consider the type of lens to take with you 01:48 Use a telephoto zoom lens 02:24 Which camera body is best for you? 03:58 Which brand of gear should you buy? 04:17 Use Micro Four Thirds for lighter, smaller and longer reach 07:36 Use APS-C cameras for more reach than compared to Full Frame 09:20 Consider using Fuji APS-C 09:52 Use a lens with an aperture of at least f4.5 - 6.3 10:22 Use full frame for the best overall photo quality 12:18 Research thoroughly before deciding on what to buy 13:05 Use teleconverters as a compromise to carrying big, heavy and expensive full frame lenses 14:45 Budget friendly full frame lens options 15:29 Visit a local camera store to physically check cameras and lenses before deciding on what to buy The gear i currently use: DJI Osmo Hero - https://www.amazon.com/DJI-Super-Wide...
