Pêche à pied des moules - Thalassa

https://www.france.tv/france-5/thalas... On the docks of the port of Calais, it's impossible not to spot Myriam, a shellfish harvester, an extraordinary character. Since the age of 15, Myriam has passionately collected and sold mussels from her region. Her trade was traditionally practiced by generations of fishermen's wives who wanted to improve the daily lives of their families. Today, in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, it is practiced by only a handful of professionals. Myriam is one of the leading figures in this trade: she collects mussels by the sackful every day. A labor of hardship that she performs all year round, by the strength of her hands, never tiring. A report by Isabelle Billet, André Laffont, and Gérard Flegeau A France 3 - Thalassa production
