Equitable by design: flexible digital pathways to mastering quantitative skills "When every student starts from a different place, how do you ensure they all cross the finish line with the same level of confidence?" Within a Biomedical Science course, a one-size-fits-all teaching approach often leaves students with varying quantitative backgrounds struggling to keep up. Dr. Stephany Veuger met this challenge by collaborating with the IBMS to create and then implement five targeted, asynchronous Smart Worksheets designed to meet students where they are. Join us to see how these Smart Worksheets functioned as an inclusive learning intervention as well as a mechanism for understanding engagement. You’ll learn: How the Smart Worksheets accommodated different starting points and learning paces across a large, diverse cohort How the resources were designed to be flexible and accessible, while also providing personalised practice in numeracy, units, formulae, data visualisation and statistics within authentic biomedical contexts Practical lessons from implementing a suite of resources across a Biomedical Science programme to support quantitative skills acquisition Want to find out more about Smart Worksheets and try them out for free?
