Watch Me Work in the Garden 13

This video is part of my real-time documentation series showing the daily progress of the work I am doing around Saint Matthew Baptist Church, where Thrivival Academy operates. In this video, I begin creating a garden in the alleyway so hungry and homeless people in the area can have access to free food. I turn and till the soil, meet a man named Angel who offers to help with the garden, install bricks along the edge to help retain the soil, lay out and stage the plants, and teach Angel how to plant. Angel then plants his first garden with sage, multiple varieties of tomatoes, a Carolina Reaper, and spaghetti squash, before we clean up the area. This series is meant to document the process of building Thrivival Academy, improving the church property, and creating a better space for youth, families, and the community.
