Flight Deck Life - Catapult #4 Weight Board

The Weight Board Operator's job is to confirm the weight of the aircraft in order to pass the information on to the Launching Officer aka "Shooter" so the they can properly set the CSV to determine the opening rate of the launch valves. Before launch, they receive a set of numbers from the Shooter with anticipated weights of the aircraft. When an aircraft arrives to the catapult, they will show their weight board to the pilot who will tell them to increase, decrease, or will approve, of the weight. From there they will show it to the JBD Operator, (who relays it to the Charging Panel Operator), then the Shooter.
