Dominant performances and nail-biters set up Finals Day in Ballito I Corona Cero Post Show Day 6

The 2026 Ballito Pro Presented by O’Neill victors are ready to be crowned after more elite showcases and jaw-droppers. Brazil’s Weslley Dantas ridiculous aerial antics laid down the best performance of the event so far, posting a 17.57 heat total in the Quarterfinals before flexing more of his beastly surfing in the Semifinals over former CTer Jackson Bunch. This marks Dantas’ first Challenger Series Final, and he will face 2023 Ballito Pro champ, CT powerhouse, Cole Houshmand, after the Californian’s insurmountable power bested former CTer Ian Gouveia and 2022 World Junior Champion Jarvis Earle on the way to the Final. It’s a battle of the big brus with Dantas and Houshmand ready to vie for the first breakthrough of 2026. The women’s Final is set for an all-Portuguese battle between current CTer Francisca Veselko and perennial qualification threat Teresa Bonvalot. Veselko’s grit proved successful over fellow European Ariane Ochoa before Bonvalot bested South America’s standout Sol Aguirre to see who claims their first Ballito Pro victory. It all comes down to one heat for the men and women after a week-long battle through everything that Ballito had to offer, and the 2027 CT qualification frontrunners are ready to emerge. Next call, Saturday, July 18, at 8:00 a.m. SAST for a possible 8:35 a.m. start.
