Misterios en Half-Life: La cancelación del mod The War of Xen

Between 2007 and 2008, a YouTube channel known as "pietrekder" uploaded four videos of a mod he was working on for the first Half-Life game, known as The War of Xen. This mod is currently classified as lost media. This Polish developer named Peter had a website where he showed various previews of his project along with a gallery of images and enemies we would see. It also seems that for a brief period, his mod had two links to download a demo and a patch. Over the years, Peter grew frustrated with the complexity and ambition of his work and was never able to fully finish it. The page and the links to the demo were lost, but an anonymous user managed to preserve the images thanks to the website archive.org. The War of Xen borrowed a lot from Opposing Force and seemed to draw heavily from The Thing films and its 2002 video game, along with other somewhat creepy exclusive monsters. It's possible that it was going to focus more on horror than action, but it's hard to tell with the limited information available. Many thanks to Radiation Hazard for their archive.org links!
