Train: R153A (Kawasaki / Alstom) Set: 3405–3409 Route: Rockaway Park Shuttle (H) Run: Broad Channel to Rockaway Park–Beach 116th Street A fresh overhaul meets the salty sea air. In this run, we’re taking R153A set 3405–3409—fresh out of the 207th Street Overhaul Shop on July 3, 2026—on a sunny shuttle hop across Jamaica Bay. Built by Kawasaki, this 5-car New Technology Train features the Alstom OptONIX 2-Level IGBT-VVVF traction system, producing that distinctive, smooth NTT hum as we glide over the water. Watch the elevated curves, the marshland views, and the final approach into Rockaway Park. A perfect short run for a summer day.
