If you earn over £1,000 in a tax year (before expenses) from Amazon Flex or other side income, you must: 📝 Register for Self Assessment (by 5th October) 📅 Submit your tax return by 31st January In this video, I cover: How Self Assessment works for Amazon Flex drivers Why it’s beneficial to submit your tax return early Options for paying your tax bill (including instalments or PAYE tax code adjustments) 💸 How to reduce your tax bill: The biggest expense for most drivers is mileage: 🚗 45p per mile for the first 10,000 miles 🚗 25p per mile after that (simplified expenses method) This mileage allowance is deducted from your income to reduce your taxable profit.
