Opening Address. Dr. Pifano presents the work of the Provincial Cancer Institute (IPC). This institute is a provincial agency created by Provincial Decree on May 20, 2020, whose main purpose is to contribute to the healthcare of residents of the province of Buenos Aires, with a comprehensive healthcare approach that encompasses all stages of the cancer process: health promotion, prevention and early detection, diagnosis, timely treatment, palliative care, and support for people with cancer and their families. This overview allows us to understand the lines of work at the public policy level in the province of Buenos Aires.
