Ride on Garden Railway - 5 inch Gauge - Low budget home built
I'll show you my 5 inch gauge ride on garden railway that I built myself. This was a fairly low cost build compared to the usual cost associated with garden railways. A lot of it was built with what I had available spare! Locomotive 0-4-0 all wheels driven by chain drive, 24V, Remote controller Track 10mmx20mm black hot rolled steel for the track and scraps of steel used for ties. Radiuses bent using home made roller. Rolling stock I've only got one passenger carrying wagon at the moment. This is a double bogie unit. It can derail easily if there isn't much weight on it. This is partially to do with the length of it and the various inclines on the track. Future developments I hope to build a stirling engine locomotive once I've got to grips with these engines. I also desperately need some more rolling stock, these will be 4 wheel wagons.
