Quebec Premier Fréchette Announces $670M for Charles-LeMoyne Hospital – July 15, 2026

In Longueuil, Quebec, Québec Premier Christine Fréchette announces that the Québec government will invest $672 million, including $28 million from Ottawa, to expand and modernize Charles-LeMoyne Hospital in Longueuil. The project unveiled includes, among other things, the construction of a six-storey addition above the current emergency department. Following the remarks, Premier Fréchette and the dignitaries in attendance answer questions from the media. She is joined by federal Minister of Health Marjorie Michel, federal MP Natilien Joseph, Santé Québec President and CEO Geneviève Biron, and provincial MNAs Shirley Dorismond, Audrey Bogemans and Isabelle Poulet.
